Plaid Brixx Set to Play The Triple Rock on We The King’s 10 Year Anniversary Tour

No one mentally prepared me for when the bands I grew up listening to would start going on 10-year Anniversary Tours. I turn 25 this year so these are literally the bands I grew up with through those incredibly awkward high school and still semi awkward college years. Bands you would add to your top-8 on Myspace and fan-girl over on Warped Tour back in the day when you parents had to drop you off at the Warped Tour gates (now at least it’s an Uber taking me to Warped so I can pregame it). One of those bands whose poster was most definitely plastered on my hot pink walls in high school is We The Kings. WTK kicked off their 10-year anniversary tour this February (cue minor panic attack). They’re joined on tour by Colombus, Ohio based Plaid Brixx.

We The Kings and Plaid Brixx are set to play the iconic punk venue, The Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis on March 8th. Tickets are still available HERE.

Plaid Brixx may not have had a poster of We The Kings on their walls in high school (but hey, who knows) but they are fans of this quintessential late 2000’s band. “We are so excited to be touring with We The Kings!” frontman Chris Duggan remarked about the announcement, “We have been fans for a long time and are so grateful they chose us for their 10th Anniversary Tour.” Plaid Brixx has secured their own spot in alt-pop glory, playing coveted slots at festivals such as SXSW and CMJ. Fans of Coin, The Griswolds and Grizfolk listen up because Plaid Brixx might just be your new favorite band.

Currently Plaid Brixx has two EPs under their belt, their most is recent a self-titled EP which came out last year. Both of Plaid Brixx’s EPs play with a sense of urgency and energy, leaving a sense of anticipation to see what’s next from these guys. Give them a like on Facebook and catch them at the Triple Rock next week and on tour all spring.
