The Turf Club is set to host Open Mike Eagle, on March 29th with accompanying indie rap artists, Sammus and Video Dave, as part of Open Mike’s Still Can’t Relax Tour.
Born in Chicago, Open Mike Eagle is a rapper that came up in LA’s independent hip hop scene. He coined the genre “art rap” to describe his music, which uses comedic elements to comment on serious social issues. Most recently, he launched his own label Autoreverse Records with the release of his critically-acclaimed 2018 EP What Happens When I Try To Relax.
Outside of music, Mike is an accomplished comedian and professional wrestler, and he’s gearing up to launch his new stand-up and musical series on Comedy Central called The New Negroes this spring.
Tickets to the show are still available to purchase HERE.
