Oh Wonder’s Ultralife Tour Stopping By First Avenue 9/12

London based Oh Wonder will be taking over the First Avenue Mainroom on Tuesday, September 12th. Just one week after Oh Wonder released their debut album, they had sold out shows in London, Paris, New York and oh so many other cities. To say that these guys took the scene by storm would be an understatement and it seems as if there is no stopping them. With two full length albums out, Oh Wonder has an undeniable sense of fun in their music. Their alt-pop music comes off as quirky and unique and, rumor has it that their live show is definitely a must see event. They may be just a duo, but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things regarding the energy that radiates off the stage during their live shows. Oh Wonder’s latest album “Ultralife” came out in July. I haven’t had time to dive into it quite yet but I’m thinking it may be more fun too see it live first than listen to it.

Opening the show on Tuesday night will be singer-songwriter Jaymes Young. This young up and coming artist put out his debut full length back in June of this year and seems to be turning all of the heads in the blogosphere. His smooth voice mixed with his unique sounds will be the perfect opening act for a beautiful Tuesday night.

Won’t you join me? Tickets are still available here.
