Seattle-based electronic duo ODESZA is set to play The Myth for TWO nights of shows, November 8th and 9th. Tickets start at $53 and are still available online HERE.
The duo’s stop in St. Paul is just one of many as a part of their fall A Moment Apart Tour, which takes it’s name from their 2017 album release. ODESZA is known for their signature synth-driven electronic sound and A-List collaboration and with the likes of Regina Spektor and Leon Bridges.
It might be easy to write ODESZA off as just another bro-electronic duo, but there is something that sets these two apart from their counterparts in this genre. ODESZA is Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight who met in college at Western Washington University – where Mills studied graphic design and Knight physics/math. The duo started making music together shortly before they graduated in 2012. Knight was classically trained in piano as a child and also plays guitar. There’s a depth both musically and lyrically and ODESZA that is not to be ignored. It’s catchy, it’s feel-good, but it’s also experimental and the duo doesn’t shy away from trying something new. There’s a reason they’ve quickly climbed to the top of this ever-evolving, ever-changing genre and held their spot as reigning kings.
They are joined at the Myth by New-York-via-Brazil based duo SOFI TUKKER.
