Experience good vibes and good beer at Surly Brewing Festival Field listening to the smooth indie rock from Mt. Joy on Tuesday, August 6th.

Mt. Joy got their name from a mountain near where lead vocalist Matt Quinn and guitarist Sam Cooper grew up. The pair met in Los Angeles later on, when they were coincidentally living there and didn’t know anyone else. This five-piece band originates from Philadelphia, debuting with their single “Astrovan” in 2016. Mt. Joy made their mark 2 years later when their self-tilted album contained “Silver Lining”, their most popular song to date. Over the years, Mt. Joy has amassed over half a billion streams and gaining accolades from NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone, and more. The band has played in numerous festivals and has toured with artists such as The Lumineers, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Revivalists, and The Head and The Heart. Their most recent album Orange Blood released in 2022, is claimed to be a breakup record by the group, with deeper and darker feels from their previous works. In March, Mt. Joy release their single Highway Queen, which has the typical Mt. Joy folk guitar sounds and light feels.
