Burnsville all ages venue The Garage has become one of our favorite venues as it regularly features you bands who play with an exuberance that sometimes seems to be missing from more established acts. That energy in transfers to the audience and some of the shows there have been a little bit nuts (in the best possible way).  Odds are good that will happen this Sunday when Minneapolis’ A Better Hand headlines The Garage. Tickets for the 1/21 show are available HERE

Supporting them will be The Aftergreens, Lucid Flight, and Cabin 10.

Inspired by high energy pop-punk and the occasional touch of post-hardcore, A Better Hand brings back the nostalgia of the early 2000’s era, while adding their own signature sound and giving the genre a refreshing revival. Minneapolis, Minnesota pop-punk quintet A Better Hand broke into the scene in 2015 with their debut EP “The Not so Sober EP”. The lineup includes vocalist Zack Rettke, guitarists Brandon Wortham and Kyle Pfluger, drummer Taylor Allen, and bassist Kyle Kriegshauser. After traveling to NY in late 2016 to record with John Naclerio, the group celebrated the release of their second EP “The Longest Drive” in March of 2017. They have shared the stage with national acts such as As It Is, ROAM, Grayscale, Carousel Kings, Sleep On It, and Abandoned by Bears. Spending most of 2017 playing out and building their midwest following, they also released 5 self produced music videos. Their energetic and emotional live video for “So Long Goodbye” perfectly portrays the band and their positive message. The song has even been featured on the Alternative Press Discover playlist. The group’s most recent video release, “Rounding Third,” premiered exclusively on Idobi Radio, and while light hearted and humorous, shows just how much the band has grown in such a short time. The band is currently working with new management and plans to tour heavily until they return to NY in the early spring of 2018 to record their third EP.
