The Heavy Set is a Rock quartet, with sounds combining soul, hard rock, blues and alt-country. Jake Ilika leads the Americana, Folk and Hard Rock band that earned some praise from local media like The Current, who said “It’s timeless, genre-defying, and worth a good long listen.”
Michael Ray Pfeifer is a singer and songwriter who fuses a free-wheeling brand of roots-rock and the songcraft of heartfelt Americana. His latest release brings it back home with an album called “Blind Faith,” an intimate, revealing album of new songs. Filtered through the sounds of AM radio; the music pops, lilts and sways with inspired reflection.
