The Palace Theater in St.Paul will be hosting Kate Rhudy and Mandolin Orange on January 30th. Tickets are available online HERE as well as at the show the day of.

Kate Rhudy reigns from Raleigh, North Carolina and brings with her the taste of southern country, but with an impeccable sense of authenticity and honesty in her lyrics and story telling that is sure to be refreshing for anyone looking for a nontraditional take on a heavily traditional genre. Her debut album Rock N’ Roll Ain’t For Me came out in 2017 and she has been gaining momentum ever since.

Americana duo Mandolin Orange consists of a couple of string-pluckers from Chapel Hill, North Carolina named Emily Frantz and Andrew Marlin. While both sing and contribute to the band in their own ways, the mandolin itself is wielded by Marlin as Frantz plays violin and guitar; The two can play a wide variety of instruments, though, as well as sing, so be prepared for a variety of sounds that twist through Americana and Folk alike. The duo have released 6 albums to date, with their most recent being “Tides of a Teardrop” which was released in 2019.

No matter where your tastes may be between the genres in line for this evening, anyone can appreciate the musical talent that is in store between Mandolin Orange and Kate Rhudy. In the meantime, be sure to check out a taste of what is to come before the show:
