Mallory Knox managed to wake everyone up and get the crowd to test their lungs during a powerful opening set during this year’s Vans Warped Tour at Canterbury Park (Shakopee, MN). Frontman Mikey Chapman showing off some impressive pipes and had no trouble in getting the audience swaying as they launch into ‘Ghost In The Mirror’. Chapman’s voice rang out clearly over razor-sharp riffs. Seeing Mallory Knox perform live makes it abundantly clear why their career continues on a strong upswing.

Their most recent album, Asymmetry, translates just as well to the stage as it does to record, with all melodies and rhythmic nuances intact. Mallory Knox hold their own as a promising force in the latest wave of British rock. Their set got progressively heavier as it went on, and they showed they’re more than capable of crossing into post-hardcore territory as Chapman hammered his way through ‘Death Rattle’, before ending on a high with ‘Lighthouse’.
