Knuckle Puck & Citizen Taking Over Amsterdam 6/12

Knuckle Puck, Citizen, Hunny, Oso Oso– All at Amsterdam on Wednesday June 12th? Pinch me! This can’t be real!

Despite its title, the second album from Knuckle Puck isn’t a reinvention; rather, Shapeshifter is the sound of the Chicago-based pop-punk band taking their best qualities and honing them to make them even sharper. The songwriting became tighter and more deliberate, the lyrics more introspective and urgent—without losing an ounce of the sweat-soaked authenticity and passion that made their debut album, Copacetic, so captivating. Above all, it’s an album that proves the band are unflinchingly unwilling to compromise when it comes to their art. That’s evident on first single “Gone,” perhaps the most fully realized Knuckle Puck song to date. It’s equal parts muscular and melodic, textured with keyboards, buzzsaw guitars and a buoyant chorus that will integrate seamlessly into the band’s raved-about live show.

Citizen is a rock band from Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio. The band consists of five members: Mat Kerekes (vocals), Nick Hamm (lead guitar), Jake Duhaime (drums), Ryland Oehlers (rhythm guitar), & Eric Hamm (bass). They are currently signed to Run For Cover Records.

HUNNY is a band from Newbury Park, CA who made a name for themselves in early 2015 releasing their debut single “Cry for Me” which was met with wide acclaim from bloggers and fans alike. Three years and several releases later, they’ve proven that they’re much more than just one song. Their catalog has amassed over 14 million Spotify streams globally to date in addition to selling out rooms across the US. HUNNY is front man and guitarist Jason Yarger, guitarist Jake Goldstein, bassist and keyboardist Kevin Grimmett, and drummer Joey Anderson.

Oso Oso is the latest project of Jade Lilitri out of Long Beach, New York. After a couple of early records, the band self-released their first fully realized album The Yunahon Mixtape on Bandcamp in early 2017. Despite this low key release, the album quickly gained traction across the scene, winning over both fans and critics with it’s diverse, recognizable knack for memorable choruses and instantly relatable lyrics.
