Knocked Loose and Terror Will Destroy Amsterdam Bar & Hall 3/23

It’s finally happening—Knocked Loose are headlining a North American tour with Terror and they are making a stop at Amsterdam Bar & Hall on Friday, March 23rd. If you’re not excited for this show, there is something truly wrong with you.

Knocked Loose have been categorized under several sub-genres by the media and publications alike, these including metalcore, hardcore punk, and beatdown hardcore. New Noise Magazine, when reviewing their debut album Laugh Tracks, described the band’s sound as being akin to “Comeback Kid at their heaviest with some added doses of Slayer riffs and Code Orange-style malice”. Bryan Garris, the band’s lead vocalist, has described their sound as being “sandwiched between hardcore and metalcore”, although he has stated that the band’s intention was to produce a diverse sound that was difficult to categorize. Knocked Loose have been credited as one of the forerunners of the first-wave metalcore “revival” scene of the late 2010s, alongside bands such as Code Orange, Counterparts, Kublai Khan, Varials and Employed to Serve. Although I have never seen them live before, I am more than excited to get the chance to see them at such an intimate venue.

Joining Knocked Loose will be a personal favorite of mine- Terror. Terror are kings of the hardcore scene. With six full lengths albums out and a spattering of other EP’s, singles, and splits, Terror are truly legendary. Last time I saw them I walked away with some nice bruises and a fractured rib… all battle wounds that I wore proudly for the weeks to follow. Their sound is brutal, their energy is insane– their set may be a show-stealing set if you ask me but I will just have to wait and see I suppose.

Jesus Piece, Year Of The Knife, and PYRALIS will be kicking off the night. Although I know nothing about these three bands, I can assure you that you will want to get to Amsterdam early to enjoy every moment of the truly brutal tour.

Tickets are still available here although they are moving fast so don’t wait to get them!
