Holiday Hoopla With Old 97’s at the Fine Line on December 10th

Texan rock and rollers the Old 97’s will be putting on a special show for the Twin Cities in honor of the Christmas Spirit. The group released a full-length Christmas album last year and I’m sure we’ll be hearing many tracks from it.

Opening the night will be Caseymagic, who is best described as a DIY Punk Rock Magician. He’s been a professional musician since 2002. He has held steady house residencies as well as traveled across North America playing in multiple cities. He is no stranger to touring with rock bands and I’m sure will be the perfect opener.

Before the full band comes on stage, Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller will be coming out for a special solo set. Miller has been performing and releasing solo albums for almost as long as the Old 97’s have been together.

The Old 97’s themselves, are best described as a Southern Rock band. They have been together for over 20 years and have 12 full-length albums under their belt. With constant touring playing, they have gotten close to nearing showmanship perfection.
