Minnesota’s fall is setting in with the cool weather. The fans could care less about the cold. They were ready for “The Gunner” Machinegun Kelly. Cleveland Rapper MGK impressed fans at the Myth Thursday evening. The rapid fire rapper is currently touring the U.S. after his third album release “Bloom” released May 12 2017. Local Hip-Hop Radio station GO95.3 sponsored the concert.
The opening bands all played a short set 2-3 song setlist. The three opening bands are all from Minneapolis. Check2Fresh opened the show with outstanding beats and crowd involvement. FREEWIFI was up next dancing and entertaining the screaming fans. PROF was ready to get the fans ready for MGK. PROF released his second ep “Liability” in 2015. The fans loved the great lyrics and energy PROF brought to the stage.
The lights went down and the excitement started to build. The “Gunner” was about to take the stage. The crowd went crazy went MGK walked out. He opened his set with the song “The Gunner”. He played hits “Till I Die”,”Let You Go”,”Bad Things”. The lights went down and MGK dedicated the next cover song “Numb” to a really good friend that passed Chester from Linkin Park. The fans loved the energy of the great rapid fire rapper. His intensity was seriously amazing. I came to the show not knowing much about MGK and left a fan.
