Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger at Rock the Garden 6/21/2015

Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger was formed in 2008 by Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl. While they released a number of recordings they consider 2014’s “Midnight Sun” their first true album. The band expands to 5 members for live performances.
Opening with the “Too Deep” the band drew in their audience quickly. Lennon was quite active with his guitar raised. Kemp Muhl on the other hand was a calm, cool anchor on bass but still drew attention. Their sound was psychedelic with some feedback and guitar jams. Fans were disappointed when the band had to cut their set short as they pushed up against the merciless timetable of a festival. Lennon promised the audience that they would be back soon. I look forward to seeing them for a full set.

Personal Moment: In the photo pit: “I keep reading Sean Lennon sounds like John, I don’t hear it!?” A bit later, off to the side as I am writing some notes and not paying attention: “& ☠@✴# he sounds JUST like his Dad!”
