They’re back. One of the largest rock bands of the last 20 years is bringing their “Concrete and Gold Tour” to the Excel Energy Center on October 18th. That’s right it is the iconic Foo Fighters. The MN stop is sold out and the rest of the dates on this tour are close to as well. The Foos are on top of the world still and show no sign of giving up their throne.

The Foo Fighters have inspired musicians and average joes since their creation. With hit songs such as “Everlong”, “All My Life”, “Walk” and “Best of You” the band will blow the roof off of that arena. Lead man Dave Grohl is also a natural born performer. From his bad*** screams to the way he holds himself on stage, the man knows how to put on a killer show. The Foo Fighters are also a band. It is not just Grohl and a bunch of random musician, they are a band that sticks together and all bring something different to every song. The most recent album “Concrete and Gold” was a fantastic venture and holds some classic Foo songs and radio hits.

With them they bring the band, Gang of Youths. They sound like a mix between The Killers and Bruce Springsteen. Their song “Let Me Down Easy” has caught the attention of thousands and will sure to be a crowd favorite of the night. The band is huge over in Australia and New Zealand but are still up and coming over here. However, with a little help from the Foo Fighters they are sure to break soon. The band has had two full length releases and even an MTV Unplugged session under their belt. Gang of Youths will be a fantastic way to start the night.

For those of you who have tickets consider yourself lucky because this show is sold out and is expected to be a banger. The doors are at 6:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.
