Former YES and Vangelis front man Jon Anderson will appear at The Fitzgerald Theater in St Paul on April 24.  Details and Tickets can be found HERE.

It is safe to say that Anderson is one of the most distinctive and best known voices in Rock history.  To call compositions like Fragile, Roundabout, I’ve Seen All Good People and Owner Of A Lonely Heart groundbreaking is an understatement.  Jon Anderson and YES pioneered the Prog Rock movement that  came out of the UK in the 1970’s.

Since the band’s demise and subsequent induction in the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, Anderson has remained busy.  He has continued to tour constantly as a solo artist, with Vangelis, Jon-Luc Ponty and most recently with former band mates Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe.

This tour is in support of his 15th solo album 1000 Hands, a project which began initially in 1990 with YES bandmates Chris Squire and Alan White.  If there was ever any question regarding Anderson’s respect within the musical industry, one need look no further by the artists who have joined him on the effort:  Ian Anderson, Billy Cobham, Journey keyboardist Johnathon Cain, Chick Carea, Rick Derringer, Carmine Apice, Ponty and the Tower of Power horns.
