If you saw Cowboy hats at Friday’s Social Distortion show, you can blame Colorado band Drag the River. If the Cowboy hat was accompanies by combat boots and tattoos, blame the band members’ roots in punk.
The 4 piece band from Ft. Collins is commonly described as “alternative country”. Founded in 1996 they have release almost 20 records since their 2000 debut album “Hobo’s Demos”. I found their set to be straight forward, uncomplicated (in a very good way) and a great start to the evening.
