Jackson Phillips has only been creating music under the moniker Day Wave since Fall 2014, and quickly became one of the most buzzworthy and refreshing artists to burst onto the DIY scene. A departure from his synth-heavy work as one half of electro-pop duo Carousel, Day Wave crafts dreamy, lo-fi, guitar-driven indie-pop that is already turning heads.

He just released his first full lenght album “The Days We Had” on 5/5 and is currently on tour promoting it. That tour will bring him to First Avenue’s 7th Street Entry on 6/7. Some tickets are still available HERE

Supporting him will be NY’s BLONDER who has been causing a stir with his v cool indie rock which has post-punk tendencies- his debut EP, $5 is set to drop on 6/16 and it’s so good. WET officially remixed their track, “Talk To Me” and Frankie Cosmos sang the bands praises in Vulture, naming the track “Lean” as a top tune for your day at the beach. BLONDER recently played a residency at Elvis Guesthouse alongside friends Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and Aaron Maine (Porches) and in the past, his live band has been comprised of a roster of rotating artists from Wet, Tei Shi, Guards.
