Danny Brown returns to the Twin Cities Nov. 5th on his uknowhatimsayin¿ tour, celebrating his fifth studio album of the same name that dropped earlier this month.

Described by MTV as “one of rap’s most unique figures in recent memory”, Brown’s beats are as trippy as the punchlines of his verses. Devoted to similes and comical imagery, he remains nearly impossible to pin on the spectrum of today’s hip hop.

Brown considers uknowhatimsayin¿ (produced by Q-Tip) his “standup comedy album”. He seems to hone in on a more refined, perhaps more laid back, version of his manic and comedic style this time around. He still soars to new heights doing what he knows best; standing out in the crowd of other rappers who’ve grown soft in age. His new tracks like “Dirty Laundry”, “Savage Nomad” and “3 Tearz” exemplify his style best and show that he is comfortable in the liminal space he seems to occupy in the game.

He shares the stage with Ashnikko and Zelooperz, two artists with high potential to blow the roof off the Mainroom before Danny even spits a verse. The show, on November 5th at First Avenue, will inevitably be one not soon forgotten.
