Cloud Cult is one of the most beloved bands to come out of Minnesota. No wonder they needed to add a second night at Palace Theatre in St. Paul to share their beautiful songs with hometown fans! Singer and songwriter Craig Minowa is, after all, from St. Paul.
If you haven’t seen them before, let me fill you in as a 10+ show veteran. You’ll feel everything in the music while you get lost in the on-stage painting of Scott West. The stage will be filled with players who come together to create something greater than themselves. It’s almost spiritual and certainly beautiful.
Their new album Alchemy Creek came out August 8th and has the warmth, heartbreak, and wonder I always look for in a Cloud Cult release. It is like a tug of war between falling into grief and pulling yourself out to embrace new life moving forward. Stunning. Check out the video for “The Universe Woke Up As You” below.
