Beach Slang Is A Can Not Miss Show 11/4 at Turf Club

Philadelphia based Beach Slang is taking over The Turf Club on Saturday, November 4th for a can’t miss show. Beach Slang is one of those bands that you just can’t ignore. They still have the feeling of an independent band but the sound of a band selling out huge venues. Their punk rock flavor is something unique and more than worth a little listen. Their live show is something that shouldn’t be missed. Formed in May of 2013, Beach Slang is fronted by James Alex (ex-member of weston) and feature Ed McNulty (ex-Crybaby) on bass, Aurore Ounjian on guitar, and Cully Symington on drums. Beach Slang’s newest release, “A Loud Bash Of Teenage Feelings”, is what got me into this band. The recording itself has this undeniable sense of energy and seeing/ hearing those songs live is sure to be something to remember. James Alex was recently quoted as saying, “I don’t want to whisper things anymore. I want to yell them.” So come prepared!

Opening up the show is a personal favorite of mine, Dave Hause & The Mermaid. Dave Hause has been the singer in many punk and hardcore bands including (but not limited to) The Falcon and The Loved Ones. The style of his Dave Hause & The Mermaid is completely different than those bands but I think that’s why I like it so much. It shows a completely different side of this man that deserves a spotlight. The music is calming yet energetic and the lyrics are deep and interesting. I’m super excited to see Dave Hause show his soul on stage.

Also opening the show will be Washington based Hannah Racecar.

Tickets are still available here.
