No, I’m not kidding. The one and only Baroness will be playing the intimate Bar Fly at Skyway Theatre on Friday, November 12th.
Baroness is coming to town. Even though the band released their revered Gold & Grey in 2019, they never toured the U.S. behind the album, and of course, as they were about to… everything shut down. To celebrate the upcoming tour, the band is going to do two sets – the first will be a fan-voted set with nothing off limits (ticket holders will be provided with a link to vote), along with a second set curated by the band.
At the time of release, NPR said: “In its scope, Gold & Grey feels like a callback to the heyday of the rock album as art object — that period in the late ’70s when a radio-friendly rock bands like Led Zeppelin released the sprawling Physical Graffiti, and their even more heady compatriots in Yes released the monolithic Tales from Topographic Oceans.”
Rather than constructing a set list themselves, they’ve created a voting system that allows fans to request whatever Baroness songs they want to hear at each show. Dubbed the Your Baroness Tour, the month-long run of dates kicks off November 6th in Baltimore and mostly travels throughout the East coast and Midwest before concluding in Philadelphia for a two-night residency on December 11th and 12th.
This show is completely sold out (and, unsurprisingly, sold out super quick) but keep your eyes peeled on the venue’s social media accounts for any last minute ticket drops!
