America’s Favorite Icon, Lizzo, Is Coming To The Twin Cities Next Week

In just a week, Lizzo is coming to the Twin Cities to play two completely sold out shows at The Armory. Writing an introduction to who Lizzo is seems like a pointless task in this day and age… she’s the Minnesota bred rapper/singer/icon extraordinaire who’s song “Truth Hurts” is currently the number one song in the nation. She promotes self love and body positivity and interacts with her 5.6 million Instagram followers like they’re her closest friends. She’s gotten co-signs by Rihanna, Beyonce, and pretty much every other major celebrity… and I totally see why.

Coming with her on this tour is Ari Lennox, an R&B singer from Washington D.C. She’s the first woman that was signed to J. Cole’s label, Dreamville Records, and has collaborated with him, Chance the Rapper, and Masego… just to name a few. Her most recent album, Shea Butter Baby, came out this past May and was an instant favorite of mine, and of everyone else I know who’s listened.

Not only will Lizzo be backed by the super talented Ari Lennox, but her DJ, Sophia Eris, is one of the Go 95.3 morning DJs and is currently releasing music produced by Doomtree’s Lazerbeak… so the Minnesota love will be running deep at these shows.

Although tickets to both the Wednesday 10/9 and Friday 10/11 shows are sold out, you can click here for the info about the rest of the tour.
