Canadian indie-pop band Alvvays has been out of the spotlight for a few years. Their dreamy sophomore album Antisocialites has been on regular rotation in my house since its release in 2017. I just haven’t gotten enough of it even five years later.
Finally, they’ll have a new album Blue Rev this Friday. The lead single “Pharmacist” feels classically Alvvays, while giving a fresh vibe. “Very Online Guy” is more experimental. I can’t wait to get my hands on the album.
Even more exciting? They’ll be returning to the First Avenue stage on October 15th! Chicago indie band Slow Pulp will be opening the show. It isn’t one to miss!
