A Boogie vs. Artist Showdown Will Happen At The Varsity Theater 3/23

Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is set to return to Minneapolis in just a couple weeks time, Saturday March 23 at the Varsity Theater to be specific. Playing host to acts in the past like Bullet for My Valentine and Asking Alexandria this years star is of a different flavor. Headlining this time is rapper and singer A Boogie wit da Hoodie. His given name, Artist Dubose serves as inspiration for the theme, A Boogie vs. Artist. A sort of who I was versus who I am now, or perhaps alluding to who he is onstage and then offstage. This hip hop vibe isn’t entirely new ground for the tour having previously billed acts in a similar vein such as Iggy Azalea, Fetty Wap, 21 Savage and the like. Even going so far as to showcase the notable XXL Freshman Class.

For those unaware of just exactly what the XXL Freshman Class is, It’s an annual publication by the hip hop magazine XXL. In it they list artists in the scene who are up and coming. It could looked at as an ‘artists to watch’ style list, and in 2017 A Boogie wit da Hoodie made the cut. However his musical career does precede his inclusion by a bit. Beginning in 2016 A Boogie release a couple of mixtapes to fine tune himself before his debut album, The Bigger Artist, in 2017. However his clime was only beginning as his second album Hoodie SZN was an even bigger splash and landed him the number one spot on the Billboard charts.

Blessed with loyal fans and a series of chart toppers it no wonder he would want to hit the road and who better for support than Monster Energy. He may just need a can or two for those long night and early mornings. Tickets for the show can still be purchased HERE.
