X Ambassadors will be coming to Minneapolis on Tuesday, May 1st. Although the show was originally announced to be held at The Myth, it has been moved to Music Hall MPLS in the heart of downtown.
On the heels of announcing the second X Ambassador’s-curated Cayuga Sound Festival and wrapping a highly successful European leg of the JOYFUL tour, the band is excited to continue its run in the US this week. Earlier this year the JOYFUL tour hit select cities across the US, including SOLD OUT shows at The Belasco Theater in Los Angeles and Brooklyn Steel in New York City, and now X Ambassadors will bring its energetic and uplifting show to historic venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO and the Ryman Theatre in Nashville, TN. The trio recently released two new Spotify Singles, including a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Stolen Car” and a live version of the band’s latest single “Don’t Stay,” from its forthcoming sophomore album JOYFUL.
Opening the show will be English singer-songwriter Jacob Banks. Jacob became the first unsigned act to ever appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Jacob Banks won the 2012 MOBO UnSung regional competition in Birmingham and the Adidas “Are You In” music competition. His music is influenced by a range of genres including soul, R&B and hip-hop.
Starting the night off right will be a personal favorite of mine- The Aces. This all female rock band from Utah has a can’t miss live show that’s full of energy and fun. As if this line-up isn’t already amazing with X Ambassadors and Jacob Banks, adding The Aces is truly just the icing on the cake.
