Widowspeak, Clearance and Madeline Kenney are coming to the Entry on 9/15

Next Friday will once again have Twin Cities music fans face a difficult choice – so many cool shows to see and yet, you can only be one place at a time. Well, let me make your life more difficult by adding a show at the Entry to the mix.

Brooklyn’s Widowspeak remain purveyors of mood. Whether painting an image of a basement apartment with blinds closed or conjuring the sweeping openness of a desert, they’re an outfit ever preoccupied with the influence of place and the passage of time on personal experience: the way vivid memories can feel like movies or dreams.

Their tour is bringing them to the Entry on Friday 9/15. Some tickets are still available HERE

Supporting them will be Chicago’s Clearance and Madeline Kenney. Kenney is an Oakland-dwelling Seattle transplant, whose background in bakeries and neuroscience somehow add up to the production of twang-hazey dream pop. It’s like if Loretta Lynn had a secret shoegaze project and an obsession with a looper pedal.
