Tempe AZ Alt Rockers The Maine are putting a new spin on touring with their “Free for all” #freeforall tour. The shows in 13 cities (including last night’s gig at Mill City Nights) are free for anyone. They themed up with 8123 and square cash and fans can contribute to gas money through the square cash app. The band described it as a “thank you for our fans”. Since their start in 2007 The Maine has built up a loyal following in the US and around the globe.

The band sold out the Varsity Theater in April and their fans were ready for them to return. Mill City Nights filled up quickly even though the show faced tough competition from multiple sporting events, the state fair and jungle like humidity.
Opening with “English Girls” The Main had their fans engaged from the first cords. Their show was lively as usual and their lights are quite spectacular for the audience (less so for the camera, but who’s complaining). The crowd was on the younger side (15+ show) and enjoyed a great show.
