Way back in 2012 The Long Odds rose from the Ashes of Minneapolis based alt-country band Western Fifth.

Their debut full length release Level Ground was recorded in October of 2016 at the renowned Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, MN.  Rooted in classic country and folk rock, “From Here on Out” and “Lilac” (featuring fiddle player Allie Kral of Yonder Mountain String Band) offer upbeat traditional Americana sounds.  As the listener moves through the record, “Hardly Made a Dent” and “Walt Saw Ghosts” showcase the exploratory side of the band. Stylistically these ten songs cover a lot of ground while ultimately sharing a common thread. This first effort from The Long Odds reveals a broad palette within the Americana umbrella that will likely leave the listener wondering what might be coming next.

They will be celebrating the release of their first full length with a show at Mortimer’s on 3/24 supported by Trempealeau and Bernie King and the Guilty Pleasures.
