Surly Festival Field will again host their concert season ending line up on Saturday, October 13. Minneapolis’ own Hold Steady headline and make their annual Homecoming. Tickets are going fast! Details for the event can be found HERE.
Leave it to the good folks at Surly Brewing to cap off a fantastic summer 2018 schedule with their own twisted take on Octoberfest. The day begins early with DJ Jake Rudh inside spinning album cuts at 10am. Games and German inspired food will be provided. This portion of the event is free and all ages.
The main music line up starts outside on the Festival Grounds at 2pm. The day is rock solid and looks like this:
2pm – DJ Shannon Blowtorch
2:30 – Rachel Kurtz
3:45 – Static Panic
5:00 – Mixed Blood Majority
6:30 – Bad Bad Hats
8:00 – The Hold Steady
If you weren’t one of the ultra lucky people to snag tickets to one of The Hold Steady’s two 7th Street Entry gigs the following day, this is your lone 2018 opportunity to catch Minneapolis’ favorite sons. Kudos to Surly Brewing for their contributions to the local music scene. Surly Fest may not only be the last outdoor party of the year, it may be their best.
