The Griswolds are a four piece band out of Sydney, Australia. They are touring with Walk the Moon in support of their debut album “Be Impressive”. They have been getting steady play on alternative stations for Beware the Dog (#4 on Sirius XM’s 2014 Alt chart) and Heart of a Lion and have quickly become fan favorites.
Playing to a good sized crowd they quickly captured their audience with their upbeat music. Their stage presence was good and with a bit more interaction between band members could be great. They were a bit impacted by the main band’s draped decorations.
Lead singer Christopher Whitehall interacted well with the fans between songs. There were a good number of people who responded to his question on who was going to come back and see them the next evening.
Closing with Heart of the Lion they left the crowd in a great mood and ready for more. I am looking forward to see this band grow and return as a main act soon.
