Tegan and Sara are just days away from releasing “The Con X: Cover” – a new album featuring 14 of their favorite artists including Bleachers, Ryan Adams, and Muna covering all 14 songs from the 2007 album. Both the anniversary tour + album benefit the Tegan and Sara foundation, which fights for health, economic justice and representation for LGBTQ girls and women.
T&S said about The Con’s anniversary: “As we look back today, the first few records of our career felt like we were navigating winding mountain roads. But with The Con it was obvious we had turned a corner and hit an open stretch of highway – it was our first fully-realized Tegan and Sara record. Much of it hasn’t been performed live in nearly a decade so it’s with great pleasure that we take these beloved songs back to the stage.”
Tomorrow they will start The Con X: Tour in support of the original album’s 10-year anniversary! They will be performing the record front-to-back with all new arrangements. They will be in Minneapolis at the State Theatre on 11/3. Tickets are available HERE
