Promoting his fourth album “Dark Bird Is Home” Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson better known as The Tallest Man on Earth will be at First Avenue this Saturday 8/29. The hopefully renovated ceiling at First Avenue should not be in danger, as despite his moniker Matsson is “reasonable size”. Check the proof with TCM favorites First Aid Kit below
His new album is more complex and lively than his earlier ones and he now tours with a band to back him up. Matsson is a bundle of energy on stage pacing every square inch of stage before his leash/guitar cord yanks him back. Yet for all his energy, he has been described as a “Troubadour at heart” and his songs are soft and he sings about nature, dreams and love.
