“Side Pony” is the latest release by Boston’s Lake Street Dive. And, yes that is a reference to Minneapolis’ Lake Street and the dive bars found there in Mike Olson’s youth. Since 2004 the 4 piece band has been happily crossing genres and incorporating things that work well into their music. Fresh of performances on Conan and an NPR Tiny desk concert they are making their way across the US before heading to Europe to continue their tour.
Their March 10 show at First Avenue has been sold out but keep your eyes open as same day tickets may be available.
