Houston emo pioneers Mineral will be making a stop at the Turf Club in St. Paul 1/26 as a part of their 25th Anniversary Celebration. This is a show Mineral fans don’t want to miss, as it’s been a hot minute since the band has preformed together and released new material. Mineral is a band who were active in the late nineties, but took a hiatus up until 2014 and 2018. Just a few months ago, Mineral returned to the scene releasing their first new song in 20 years.

Mineral’s new song and tour comes as part of the band’s upcoming 25th anniversary celebration, which also involves the release of a limited edition retrospective book, One Day When We Are Young: Mineral at 25. According to the band’s website, the commemorative book includes “Never before seen photos, a collectible 10″ record with 2 new songs, in depth band history, and contributions from the members of Jimmy Eat World, Get Up Kids, and more.”

Joining Mineral on their tour is up-and-coming guitarist Tancred. Tancred is the stage name of former Now, Now guitarist Jess Abbott. Abbot has released three full-length albums up to date and has been winning over audiences all across the country.

If you are interested in seeing the rejuvenation of a perhaps under-appreciated staple band in the alt-rock/emo scene and Tancred, tickets are available HERE. This is a show that has the potential to sell out, so act fast.

Check out Mineral’s new song Aurora, and if you like what you hear come on down to the Turf Club 1/26!
