Two fun European bands are headed for First Avenue next week. Miike Snow, the Swedish pop band whose hit “Genghis Khan” was all over the airwaves last summer and Dutch quartett Klangstof. The show is scheduled for 7/3 and some tickets are still available HERE.
We caught Miike Snow at last year’s Go96 show. Their set was energetic and fun filled living up to the band’s reputation.
Coming off an impressive Coachella performance Klangstof’s sound is more dark and dreamy than the party band headliner. Composed of Koen van de Wardt, Wannes Salome, Jun Christian Villanueva and Jobo Engh. Started by de Wardt tinkering in his bedroom in Norway it developed into a full band and their debut album “Close Eyes To Exit” has been well received worldwide.
