Color me surprised!  Tickets are still available for Low Cut Connie at First Avenue next week.  Word to the wise, don’t wait.  They won’t be there long.  Get them HERE

Talk about a band that’s breaking out big time and talk about a city that loves them!  November 1 marks the Philly based band’s 3rd trip to the Twin Cities in the past year.  Last November was another headlining show at The Turf Club.  July had LCC playing Rock The Garden’s main stage.

Frontman Adam Weiner is a high energy dynamo.  A regular guy who decided rock and roll shows should be bigger than life.  Imagine Freddie Mercury meets Jerry Lee Lewis.  NPR recently called the band “the essence of what rock n roll should be”.  No less than the New York Times opined “their live show is a phenomenon!”  Program Director Jim McGuinn from The Current singled out LCC as one of the most important bands out there staying close to the soul of rock n roll.

There are artists who write great songs.  There are bands that make their mark in the studio.  There are bands that deliver the goods live.  There are those who manage to do both.  And there are acts that take their great recordings and turn their shows into raucous dance parties like these guys.  If you come out for Low Cut Connie, expect to participate right on down to your toes.

In support of LCC is Ruby Boots, the performing name of Australian born, Nashville based Bex Chilcott.  Mixing a heady brew of influences from punk to Petty to T. Rex, Rolling Stone listed her as one of “The Top 20 Things We Saw” at 2017’s Americana Fest.  “Country twang with outlaw bravado, tapping into the loose energy of a young Lucinda Williams.”
