Every once in a while an e-mail with a concert notification arrives in my inbox that has me do a double take. In the case of this show, said double take was followed by a loud YES! Lisa Stansfield was a favorite of mine (granted quite a while ago) and I was not expecting a new album or a tour. She will be at the Pantages Theatre on 10/22 promotin her new album “Deeper”. Lisa Stansfield’s career began in 1980 when she won the singing competition Search for a Star. She is best known for her worldwide chart-topping single “All Around the World” and has released 10 albums. She took a break from music in 2004 and focused on her film career, but is back touring the UK and will begin her tour of the US in the fall. She has sold over twenty million albums worldwide, won many awards including Brit Awards and Billboard Music Awards and in December 2016, Billboard magazine ranked her as the 46th most successful dance artist of all-time
