Saturday nights show at the Myth was amazing. Arriving at the Myth not sure what to expect for the evening. The fans were wrapped around the building waiting to get in and party. The fans were so excited for the concert they were dancing in line. They were eager to see Jahkoy, Ella Mai and Kehlani.

The Oakland, California born Kehlani is a R&B singer and songwriter that gives the straight truth about her life, pain, passion, love, triumph. It’s that type of honesty that makes her music resonate with the depth of classic Motown and a vividly confessional lyricism reminiscent of Neo Soul. Kehlani released her sophmore album “SweetSexySavage” in early 2017. The album is already producing hits like “Good Life” with G-Easy. Kehlani is currently touring the U.S. promoting her “SweetSexySavage” album thru July 20 ending in Tampa, Florida.

Jahkoy was the first entertainer of the night. Jahkoy has released two studio albums to date. His latest album “Foreign Water” was released in late 2016. The R&B singer from Toronto, Canada has a very smooth soulful sound and is very easy to listen to. Jahkoy walked out on stage smiling ear to ear wearing a Minnesota Viking jersey. He played a quick 30 minute set including his hits “California Heaven” and “1,000 Times“. Fans loved his voice and his smooth dance moves. Jahkoy certainly started the party Saturday night.

Ella Mai followed Johkoy after his performance. In February 2016, Ella Mai released Time, the first body of work in her EP trilogy. The 6-track EP included the single, “She Don’t“, which featured Ty Dolla $ign. She released her second EP, “Change”, in November 2016 and final EP “Ready” in February 2017. Her next release will be her debut studio album. Ella Mai performs so well. Her voice is absolutely beautiful live in person. After hearing her “Ready” album I was captivated by her voice. Ella Mai had great energy on stage and the crowd loved her. I can’t wait for her first studio album.

The beautiful Kehlani came on stage to the beats of her DJ Noodles. The opening song “Keep On” had Kehlani performing with her two dancers. She played a eighteen song set including hits like “CRZY“,”Advice“,”Gangsta” and “Do You Dirty“. DJ Noodles kept the beats rolling as the dancers and Kehlani danced their asses off. I was very impressed with Kehlani dancing hard and singing, but never out of breath. Her vocal range is amazing. The crowd loved the great performances by all three entertainers. I’m looking forward to hearing what Kehlani releases next.
