Opening for Matt Kearny Nashville, TN based Americana and Folk group Judah & the Lion stopped at the State Theatre on St. Patrick’s Day. The band decided to dress up in the Irish spirit in varying degrees, from a kilt with fancy striped socks, to a glitter vest and an over sized green hat. An early surprise was “We built this city on rock’n roll” as their second song, which was delivered with cheesy 80’s dance moves (tongue in cheek of course). The energy remained high and the band rallied the audience for a sing along as their final song.
Overall Judah and band delivered a nice set getting the audience in the mood for the headliner.
