Judah & The Lion’s Going To Mars Tour Coming To First Avenue 9/29

Friday, September 29th will be a very fun evening for anyone who was lucky enough to snag a ticket to Judah & The Lion’s Going To Mars Tour. It will be stopping at First Avenue for the night and is sure to be a standout show in an already amazing year of shows for the Twin Cities. I stumbled into a Judah & The Lion show awhile back and was instantly struck by their unique sound. Their 2016 album title “Folk Hop ‘n’ Roll” truly says it all. Their music is an interesting blend of folk music, hip-hop, and rock & roll. It makes you want to dance and groove along to the beat while having an undeniable sense of passion that radiates from the stage during a live show. The six piece group has everything from your basic drums and guitars to the surprising mandolin, accordion and more. With only two albums out (“Folk Hop ‘n’ Roll” being the most recent) it’s a bit crazy just how big this band has gotten over the past six years. You may not know their name, but you know their songs. You know that “Take It All Back” song that’s been on the radio for months now? You know, the one that instantly gets stuck in your head and puts you in a good mood? Yeah– that’s Judah & The Lion and I seriously feel bad for you if you didn’t get a ticket to see that infectious song (and many more) live.

Opening the show will be singer/guitarist Tyson Motsenbocker and The Academic from Ireland. As if, Judah & The Lion wasn’t enough to make this bill perfect, I dare you to check out these two opening acts and not fall in love with their charm and talent.

As I mentioned, the show is sold out but feel free to scour Stubhub and Facebook Marketplace for some unfortunate souls that can no longer make it to the show! Or check First Avenue’s social media for last minute ticket blocks.
