After his original show back in April fell victim to a lovely spring blizzard. John Louis has rescheduled his release show. Tickets are available HERE

Live at The Warming House includes 11 new songs, plus 2 from John’s 2015 release Drift. Live at The Warming House was made in the style of John’s favorite Townes Van Zandt record Live at The Old Quarter, and features John, his guitar, songs, jokes, and a live audience. The CD artwork was designed as a tribute to Live at The Old Quarter as well.

John Louis is a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter who crafts twangy folk songs about love and loss. “I write to connect with those common feelings and thoughts that seem to dwell in all of us, in our hearts and bones. Hope and longing, change and regret, love and death, loneliness and kindness,” said Louis.  Drawing on influences like Patty Griffin, Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, Gram Parsons and Kris Kristofferson, John puts big pieces of his own heart and bones into his songs. John’s songs make the personal universal.

When not playing music or writing songs, John can most often be found on a bike or listening to other musicians around town.
