Ozzfest Meets Knotfest will take place September 24th and 25th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. The 24th will be headlined by Black Sabbath and include Disturbed, Megadeth, Opeth and Black Label Society. The 25th will be headlined by Slipknot and include Slayer, Anthrax and Trivium. Sharon Osbourne was on hand to introduce Ozzy at a press conference at the Hollywood Palladium on May 12th. Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath, Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan from Slipknot, David Draiman from Disturbed, Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society, and Scott Ian of Anthrax were among the musicians on stage for the announcement. Following the press conference Wylde’s Sabbath cover band Zakk Sabbath performed nine of their songs and were joined onstage by Corey Taylor.
Ozzfest marks its 20th anniversary this year, but this will be the first edition of the fest since 2010.
