Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has an album on the way, and he’s making sure no one is caught sleeping on it. In anticipation for the artist’s ‘Evil Genius’ album, slated to drop in late 2018, Gucci Mane is embarking on ‘The Unusual Suspects Tour’, with co-headliner Carnage and Smokepurpp opening.
Speaking on his creative process on the upcoming album, the rapper states, “I really just been compiling a bunch of songs…Listening to beats. I went in with Metro, I did a bunch of songs with Southside. [Honorable] C.N.O.T.E. Just really wanted to just have a chance to almost make a mixtape worth of songs with all the producers that I like. I picked maybe like 60 or 70 songs. I usually just take 20 songs and put them out but this time I really recorded a bunch of songs and then picked through them…Honestly I just recorded until the label was like we really need you to turn in the album. Then I just picked the ones I thought were the best.”
The tour kicks off on Wednesday, November 7th at Myth Live, in St. Paul. Doors are at 7:30 with Smokepurpp starting at 8:30. Tickets are still available HERE.
