No need to fear, Pokey LaFarge will take you back to those days when he plays the First Avenue mainroom on Thursday, June 15th. Pokey LaFarge has a very old-timey voice and look about him yet he still somehow keeps things feeling modern. Hailing from Illinois, Pokey (born Andrew Heissler) is aboslutely no stranger to the music scene. With eight full length albums and countless EPs and compilations, Pokey’s ten plus year musical career has been non-stop with no end in sight. His newest album “Manic Revelations” came out earlier this year on Rounder Records and is more than worth a listen!
Lillie Mae will be opening the show with her unique and fresh country influenced music.
