Swedish sensation Erik Hassle warmed the stage at First Ave on Monday night. He stepped out wearing a leather biker jacket, to add to his style and swagger. Backed by Raymundo Cruz, he kicked off his set with ‘Innocence Lost’. He followed with ‘Pathetic’, which had Hassle grooving along with a sea of on lookers. Though the stage was pretty bare, this did not detract from the performance and Hassle’s slick moves. Taking a break from his more electronic-laden hits, he pulled out a guitar, dedicating the stripped-down “Nothing Can Change This Love” to “all the lonesome lovers”. This generated immediate screams and shouts from females in the crowd. To close, Hassle gave the audience a taste of things to come with his upcoming single “No Words”. In all Erik Hassle produced a solid and genuine performance.
