It’s hard to find someone in 2018 who doesn’t know who Ed Sheeran is. With songs like, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”, and “Thinking Out Loud” all boasting over 1 billion hits on Spotify and getting heavy radio play, Sheeran is currently considered one of the most popular artists and singer-songwriters in the world.

On Saturday, October 20th, Ed Sheeran will take U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis as part of his North American stadium tour run. If you were one of the fast fans who copped a ticket for this show, consider yourself lucky because it is SOLD OUT.

I last saw Ed Sheeran in 2013 during his first U.S tour, and I can vouch that he is a very strong and talented one-man performer. He doesn’t need a flashy stage show or theatrics to entertain his crowd. Sheeran uses no more than a guitar, microphone and a loop pedal to put on an entertaining and loud show. Fans in attendance at U.S Bank Stadium can look forward to a night of dancing, singing, and fun the second Sheeran takes the stage.

In 2011, Ed Sheeran dropped his debut, full length album + (pronounced “plus”) and has rapidly been climbing the charts ever since. With cheeky songs like “Drunk” and “The A Team” first gaining him popularity in the U.S, Sheeran has only captured more fans as he has made new music. His proceeding albums, x (pronounced “multiply”) and ÷ (pronounced “divide”) exploded him into mainstream popularity and sealed his place in pop music history.

Sheeran will no doubt generate a heavy buzz once he comes into town, with plenty of fans trying to score some last minute tickets. I recommend getting to the venue early to secure your spot!

Ed Sheeran only has six more U.S stadium tour dates before he takes his show to South Africa and Europe.
