Deer Tick will bring two sets to Cedar Cultural Center on 10/20

Deer Tick is an alternative rock group from Boston, MA. With influences from all genres, their fanbase is widespread and diverse. They’ll be bringing their “Twice as Nice” tour to the Cedar Cultural Center on October 20th. Speaking of diverse- at each show, they will play both an acoustic set and an electric set with an intermission in between. Their Minneapolis show falls right in the middle of their nationwide tour, which has many sold out dates and quite the hype around it.

They’re touring off of their *two* new albums that were just released on September 15th. It had been four years since new music had been released and they didn’t hold back or try to put all of their eggs in just one basket. “The two albums complement each other yet reflect completely contrasting styles, both of which accurately represent the two distinctive musical personalities of Deer Tick — quiet and thoughtful / loud and raucous,” they explained in a press release.

Comedian Chris Crofton will open the shows as “Chris Crofton The Alcohol Stunt Band.” The Alcohol Stuntband has played with The Black Keys, Rocket From the Tombs, Richard Lloyd, and Lucero, to name a few. Crofton making comedic comments in between well played music isn’t an act to miss.
