Alien-themed metal and goblin-themed metal. I mean, do I need to say anything more? The Dank Memes tour featuring alien-themed Rings of Saturn, Goblin Metal Nekrogoblikon, Colorado tech-metallers Allegaeon and California quartet Entheos will be making a stop at Amsterdam Bar & Hall in Saint Paul on Tuesday, March 13th.

Rings of Saturn is an American deathcore band from the Bay Area, California. The band was formed in 2009 and was originally just a studio project, however, after gaining a wide popularity and signing to Unique Leader Records, the band formed a full line-up and became a full-time touring band. Rings of Saturn’s music features a highly technical style, heavily influenced by themes of alien life and outer space. They have released three full-length albums, with their latest, Lugal Ki En, released in 2014 and peaking at 126 on the American Billboard 200 chart. Whether you like their old stuff or their new stuff, Rings of Saturn is just one of those bands that you have to see live. Having seen them a couple of times now, I keep going back for more because watching them is just so captivating.

Having just posted a new song online, Nekrogoblikon is one of those bands that you either absolutely love or absolutely hate. Their outlandish live shows that come complete with a Goblin creature on stage are something that can seem a bit over the top but their music is anything but. Their music is clean, precise, and amazing so, if goblins aren’t really your thing, you should still come out and just close your eyes and let the music take over. I’ve only caught these guys live once before so to say I’m excited for a second chance would be an understatement.

Opening the stacked night of bands will be Allegaeon and Entheos. Entheos was formed a couple of years ago by ex-members of Animals as Leaders, Animosity, and The Faceless.

Every single band on this line-up is worth your attention and, with a line-up this good, how can you really say no?

Tickets are still available here.
