Somethin’ has been cooking in the Dance Assault cauldron of putrid funk… something juicy and funky…. something that is sure to make you tingle from head to toe… must be a new DANCE ASSAULT SINGLE. They’re gonna give you each a taste on July 28 at Icehouse!

But that’s not all, Dance Assault  will be celebrating former guitar player, J Justin Zwack, as he’s just returned from a two-year-long stint in Namibia working for the Peace Corp! He will be sitting in with DA but also playing a full set with, the Joe Fessler Band!

Rich Yarges & The Pop Mechanics at Eagles #34 – EVENT INFO

Are you ready for the first full album of newly recorded material from the Midwest’s most tuneful and heartfelt songwriter in 23 years?  Rich Yarges, the former singer and guitarist for the infamous 90s band, Truck Stop Love, is back with Are You Ready? – 11 tracks of genuine, guitar-based, honest-to-God rock and roll to make you dance your summer away.

Based out of Minneapolis, Rich Yarges and the Pop Mechanics is stacked with veterans of the Minnesota and Kansas rock scenes.  Longtime friend and final Truck Stop Love guitarist, Jim Crego (Dragnet, God’s Favorite Band, Jim Crego & The North Electric), is back playing tasty Les Paul counter melodies against Rich’s classic pop foundations.  Rob DeMarais, who played in Topeka’s Vitreous Humor, as well as Minnie’s The Grand Machine and Mondale Riot, lays down bass grooves in that true power pop fashion to the snappy beats of Pete Boulger, who’s pulling triple duty these days with The North Electric and Leslie Rich and the Rocket Soul Choir.  These guys are lifers who believe in the power of loud guitars, a good beat and a great song.

Rich Yarges and the Pop Mechanics will celebrate the release of their debut LP Friday, August 3 at Eagles #34 Club in Minneapolis with unapologetic Kansas City rock and rollers (and label mates), Red Kate, and Minneapolis tunesmiths, Jim Crego and the North Electric.
